Welcome to the ART Spell Zine, an online safe space for those who’ve found themselves under the “spell” of art (and/or ART).
The ART Spell Zine is a new online forum for inspiring and insightful conversations about HIV & AIDS, related science and education, culture and history, and art and activism.
Co-founded by award-winning photographer and long-term AIDS survivor and activist Kurt Weston; and writer, photographer, and educator Alina Oswald, the ART Spell Zine offers an online safe space for open and honest conversations surrounding the HIV and AIDS pandemic.
ART Spell began as an idea, about a couple of years ago. While still very much a work in progress, it offers individual and collective journeys through the history of HIV and AIDS, as well as updates highlighting ongoing strides and strategies towards a possible future free of HIV.
