“The art of living with ART.”
Alina Oswald

Welcome to the ART Spell Zine, an online forum for those who’ve found themselves under the “spell” of art and/or ART.
The ART Spell Zine is a new online forum for inspiring and insightful conversations about HIV and AIDS, related science and education, culture and history, and art and activism.
Co-founded by award-winning photographer and long-term AIDS survivor and activist Kurt Weston and writer, photographer, and educator Alina Oswald, the ART Spell Zine offers a safe space for open and honest conversations surrounding the HIV and AIDS pandemic.
While still very much a work in progress, ART Spell Zine features individual and collective journeys through the history of HIV and AIDS, as well as updates highlighting ongoing strides and strategies towards a possible future free of HIV.

Feel free to check out our Portfolio page for individual and collective stories and events documenting the past and ongoing HIV and AIDS pandemic.
Check out the Updates page for present and upcoming HIV and AIDS-related stories and news.
Please follow us on our journey to the end of the HIV epidemic and beyond.
